"I ordered this product a while back to take care of a stubborn dark spot on my forehead, and had been applying it just to that spot for a while with some improvement.
I was sick last week and just didn't feel like going through my whole skin care regimen, so I started using this all over, including around my eyes. The texture is not greasy at all for me, so I thought this would just be a simple moisturizer until I felt better. What a surprise when I discovered the overall improvement in my skin. I did not break out at all, in fact, my pores are actulally smaller and cleaner! My skin is also much brighter and tighter, and some small acne spots are almost gone. This cream evened out my overall skin tone and took care of some blotchyness I didn't even realize I had until it was gone! I am having better results with this cream than others from Avon I ordered to take care of other specific problems, like sagging. The scent is very light - practically nothing, and the consistency is that of a medium weight cream with little to no oiliness. It sinks right in and does not bother my eyes at all even tho' I wear contacts. I have seen no product discoloration and I have had it open for a few months.
This one is a sleeper. Try it, even if you think you don't need a lightener. Maybe some of the bad reviews were for an older formula, 'cause this product works really well for me."

"My skin was so bad. I even went to a dermntologist about the issue. Taking pills and trying medical creams but it seems nothing worked. Then I tried this one out. My skin tone was so uneven. One side was light and the other was dark. Once I start using this cream once a day when I finish cleasing my face. Eveyone saw a difference in myface. much smoother and softer. Even my baby can't resist touching my face. This product is affordable and worth the money."

"Only 2 weeks have passed since I started using this product, and I notice a huge difference!! My skin tone is more even and my acne scars are fading. Even my mom noticed a difference and started using it.
I have sensitive skin, and it doesn't make me break-out. In fact, when I did have 1 pimple, I put the cream on it, woke up next morning to find it gone!! I never had a product work that fast.
It soaks in fast, and has a pleasant smell."

"i was trying wrinkle creams that weren't really working.
i am 52, olive complextion and i have fine lines.
i realized i didn't need a wrinkle cream. what was really bothering me were the age spots. i have been using the banishing cream for 3 weeks now, within two weeks i have noticed age spots fading and my skin tone getting lighter.

"I used this product until it was all gone since i had it anyway at didnt realize you could return stuff if you didnt like it at that point. However, let me just say if you are looking for something to clear blemishes or even out skin tone please keep looking. Do not buy this product as it does nothing but moisturize."

"i use to have these red little bumps all over my upper arms and no matter what i tried nothing made them go away well when i started to use this i just thought it would help get the red out but no it helped get the red out and made the bumps go away i love this"

"This is the best banishing cream without a doubt. I have tried for years to remove spots from my face (cheeks caused by posion ivy.) I used everything advertised. I have always had to use cover up under my makeup. I have been using this for two months but there was difference in the first week. I am so happy. My skin is completely different. I have purchased a second jar and may get a third in case it becomes unavailable, which, hopefully never happens."

"Before purchasing this product, I made sure to read both the good and bad reviews that others gave it, as well as consider the overall rating. I did purchase it and started using it last week. It's been a little over a week since I've started and I haven't noticed a HUGE difference, but my mom said that my acne scars are getting lighter. I love that it's thick but not heavy, which makes it a great moisturizer. Maybe using it for a week is not enough time to make it work, but I'm not sure I'd get this again."

"I am very picky about facial moisturizers but I happen to see this one on sale one day and decided to try it. Now it's the only moisturizer I will use! I have very uneven skin and some little red acne scars and this seems to do the trick to even it out. It's a strong enough moisutrizer to keep my skin from getting dry, but it's light enough that I rarely ever get breakouts. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin and needs an all in one moisturizer!! :-) Hopefully they will keep it around!"

"My face breaks out so easily; I am always so nervous to try a new moisturizer. I cannot rave enough about this product! It worked w/in one use! It has lightened several acne scars AND is not greasy!!!!! My skin just drinks this up and is reaping so many benefits! I did take one review's advice though; since I have oily skin in the summertime, I only use this at night. Also, I have been using this cream paired up w/ the Anew Reguvinate 2 in 1 cleanser, and the results are amazing. I have supple, smooth clear skin now! I was using mark.'s products cause the were doing wonders for my skin, but I had used the Anew clinical peel and had a bad reaction, my mark. cleansers weren't strong enough to undo the damage; but this stuff (banishing cream and Reguvinating cleanser) cleaned up my face so fast AND left it soft and smooth w/o any greasy spots or dry patches!!!!!!!!"

"A scar remover that I loved was recently discontinued. The search for a replacement resulted in spending money on products that did not deliver. During my search I decided to comb through Avon's website and found the Banishing Cream. I was skeptical at first but I'm happy to say that it really works. I noticed that the scars I had from my love of chocolate are 90% gone! I didn't realize how clear my skin was until I wore my hair up and away from my face.
Yes, I agree that the product is greasy. However, the acne lotion I use drys my skin and the Banishing Cream provides the necessary balance I need to avoid dry and cracking skin. If some customers find the product too greasy I suggest using this product at night. I have an acne lotion that I love during the summer but is drying during the winter. Nothing is perfect but the Banishing Cream really works."

"This is fantastic. Always a great price, and it really improved my skin. It feels good and I love the smell, and on top of that, the spots on my face have faded. I have really dark acne scars and spots and this makes a difference. Plus I keep a jar at work and put it on my arms a couple times a day and it's really helped even out spots on my arms. "I have not used this product on my face, but I have used it on my knees and feet, and have seen a dramatic improvement with just one bottle. It has a moisturizing effect as well as a pleasant fragrance. I would recommend this product for lightening large discolored areas. I have not tried this for freckles or age spots."
