"I really wanted this to work but it didn't. The actual concealer is cakey and the minute you try to blend it, the product starts to bunch up (for lack of a better word) and at this point, I became so frustrated that I took it off completely. Regular concealer like mark Good Riddance or Smooth Mineral concealer are much better for covering skin imperfections or under eye circles."

"This product was better than I thought it would be. I like that it feels cool when you put it on; that might be a good idea, popping it into the fridge before application. If your face easily flushes as mine does, this helps calm the sensitive skin. The coverage is "translucent", and brightens up the eye area without weighing it down. Well done, Avon."

"I bought the pearl illuminator because I had hoped to be able to use it to highlight the inner corner of my eye for a little brightening or perhaps on the brow for a little definition. Initially, I thought I'd gotten a defective tube because it took many clicks to get the product to come up through the brush. Then, I immediately noticed that the brush wasn't a great way to apply it, since it went on too heavy. I thought that's why it clumped and flaked off. So the next time, I applied it with my fingertip, careful not to use too much, and trying to work quickly before it dried. No good. It still clumped and flaked off. I thought it might be because I was using it on top of moisturizer and foundation, but in reading the other low-rated reviews, I can see it doesn't really matter whether you apply it alone, underneath or over moisturizer/makeup. I normally like Avon products, but this one is a real disappointment."
