"Product itself: I like this product, but I don't love it. It's really nice to have when you are in a rush and can't do your normal makeup routine. It feels very silky and smooth, as if it instantly turns into powder once you blend it in. I prefer to wear this alone, because it causes my makeup to look very caked on and blotchy, and even spotty as my makeup would seem to sink into my pores more than blend all over my skin. Especially on my nose. I recommend that you shake the bottle before each use! It begins to turn runny and watery a couple weeks after it's been opened. Also, many have mentioned a bad smell. I did definitely notice the smell, but it is not bad to me. It's just very perfumed, but nothing offensive like chemicals. I can understand how this can be unpleasant to some, as it is a little strong. Though the scent does seem to fade as you wear it. It's fairly long lasting, at least 6 to 8 hours before my skin gets oily again. I'm pleased with that!
Packaging: The packaging is very appealing and pretty! Although I've noticed that air seems to get inside of it a lot, causing it to splatter out kind of like ketchup or mustard does.
All in all....
Pros: great for wearing by itself, long lasting.
Cons: becomes watery, air bubbles in package, not great as a primer for makeup."

"Pro here telling you that i love this. It wourks as an amazing primer for foundation. It is perfect for making fine wrinkles and pores appear smaller. "Well, I've used this for...months. I was happy with it for mainly one reason. That reason would be: NO OILY SKIN WHILE I'M AT SCHOOL! WOOHOO!!! Okay, now that I have that out of my system lets get this review started. The description of this product is wrong. The description treats this product like a saint! 1. "makes all skin tones look flawless" Yeah right. Not for me at least. 2."instant perfection" ...do I really have to explain that? This does not make you look flawless and it's NOT a miracle worker. I find that it does help with shine (but it's not like I'm constantly looking in a mirror to check for shine.) When I first put this on I thought my skin tone did look a tad more even, but I didn't really notice a difference after that. But it does make my skin smooth and soft! Also, when I first discovered this product I thought "Wait, gel to powder? How?" So I got curious, read most of the reviews and decided to purchase it. I have read quite a few reviews saying they don't like the smell...I don't know what they were smelling. It smells like a watery, powdery scent which I find to be light and pleasant . :) Don't purchase this product thinking this will make your skin look perfect or flawless. Purchase it to keep away the oil all day. It certainly worked for me. I have very oily skin! It's as oily as [insert simile here]! Let's talk about a few more negative comments about this product that other customers had to say. -Product smells strong: As I've said before, it's a light scent. It won't be strong if you only use a little, and a little is all you need! So don't go overboard with it. -Made my skin oily: I understand it can make some people's skin oily and that everyone is different. I just put a little of Magix on my nose (most oily part on my face) and it automatically made my nose smooth, slightly powdery, and the oil was gone fast. It will absorb the oil. However, I find that after school or during school if I really feel my nose I can feel all of the oil that was absorbed sort of...get out again. This only happens like 3 hours after I put it on. My suggestion, just don't feel the place where you put Magix...let it be. But anyways, it didn't make my skin oily, but if I touch the spot where I put it (as if I'm wiping it off with my finger) I will feel the oil it was keeping off my face so it's like it was released back out. -Doesn't make my skin even: I agree. When I first tried Magix, it seemed very slightly more even but after that I didn't notice a difference. -I didn't see a difference: I didn't either. But I FELT a difference. It's hard to see the difference if there is one. -It made me look pale: When I first put this on, I looked very close in the mirror. Small, white, powdery particles on my face. It sort of made my face pale (thought it really wasn't noticeable.) If you're fair skinned, you might want to think twice about this product, or just use it sparingly on your T zone.
Do not expect a lot out of this product, because you will wind up disappointed after reading many rave reviews. Do expect this will help most people with oily skin. After much debate on whether to give this product 5 stars for doing it's job on my oily skin, or 4 stars for all the flawless coverage claims. I decided to stick with 4 stars. The hype over this product is a little annoying. Most people decided to give it a 5 for doing an amazing job on oily skin, BUT missed the point that it claims to give you "instant perfection" and a "flawless" look. Which I find to be so not true. Hmm...I think it would be best to not rely greatly on a 5 star review unless they provide numerous reasons to why they like it, describe the product, and provide at least one con (even if it's something small that doesn't really matter.) Cause no product is perfect. Well, I hope my long review has been helpful to you and that Magix Face Perfector works for you if you do decide to purchase it! :)"

"I have such oily skin, that it's impossible to describe exactly how oily it is. I get out of the shower, and in LESS than an hour, you would have thought someone had made bacon on my forehead and forgot to clean up the grease.
As soon as I put this on, my face felt super dry and soft. I put the BEYOND COLOR Line Softening Mousse Foundation on top and it's been about an hour and my face doesn't feel any different than when I first put the MagiX on!
I'm sure that in an hour or so my face will be oily, just because of HOW oily my skin is to begin with, but I think that this is really going to help. :) I think this would be perfect for someone with combination skin.

"I do like this product to an extent. When I first squeezed out the product, there was a gel / oily type liquid, but once I got past the first couple of squeezes and mixed it up, I liked it. Although it does not make my face "perfect" it does make it feel velvety smooth and like a veil over my face before I apply my makeup. And the SPF is a great plus on this one. "So far this is my best purchase from Avon. I have combination skin and my T-zone is always oily. I tried many expensive products on the market but nothing seems to work. Because of my oily T-zone, makeup just doesn't last at all. I have to use blotting oil papers all the time. Since I found Magix Face Perfector, my face stays matte all day and it's easier to put on foundation or powder. I don't have any problem with the smell at all. It's not strong (there's a lot products that smell worse than this one). I highly recommend this product to everyone."

"I have extremely oily skin and when I bought this I thought I had solved all my problems. It did leave my skin matte for a couple of hours but then my skin became oily and shiny again which was a let down. I am still looking for that perfect anti-shine makeup for my type of oily face. Furthermore, I wouldn't use it with a brush because it left my brush flaky and I've been trying to revive it since (almost there)."

"Based on so many exceptional reviews, I thought this product was going to be awesome. Maybe my expectations were too high because this product did not achieve what is advertised and hyped. I tried it alone with no makeup, as many reviewers said they do, and I didn't notice any difference. I wore it under makeup several times and also didn't notice a difference other than maybe my pores look smaller? I wouldn't recommend it. Its not awful, its just not great."

"I love this stuff!! It feels so nice when you put it on,not heavy like you're adding an extra layer, and I really don't mind the smell. After it dries, you can't smell it anymore, anyway.
Now this is my experience with this product. I have been using it for a couple weeks now, well I woke up late one morning and was in such a rush I had forgotten to put it on. About 3 hours into my day, my face was shiny and my makeup was rubbing off my face. Now that I realize that my makeup will last ALL DAY as long as I'm wearing Magix, I'll never be without it again!!"
