"This sharpener is so dull mine stopped sharpening my Avon eye pencil after about three uses. So frustrating! Don't buy this sharpener, it's worthless!"

"My old Avon sharpen had finally worn out....I happened to pick up another brand that looked very much like this one...
It was almost useless and my Avon pencils didn't fit well and the blades smashed the tip rather than sharpen...I am back to this sharpener..It works..."

"Thank God I've gotten into the habit of reading product reviews because I never would have realized that the reason I could not get my sharpener to sharpen my thick eye pencil was because I never removed the tiny stick on the front top part of the sharpener and the cover on the hole like the person who wrote the review that I read. And mind you, I've had this sharpener for over a year and resorted to sharpening my eyeliner with a knife!"

"The product is cheaply made and very difficult to use on Avons Big Color Eye Pencil. I would have paid more for a better made product and I believe given the higher cost of a "Big Color" eye pencil Avon should have made a sharpener to use exclusively for the bigger pencil."

"I bought the Avon sharpener specifically for the Avon Big Color Eye Pencil. The eye pencil didn't even fit in the largest hole so I wasn't able to sharpen my Avon product. May work for other Avon products, but for me, it didn't work at all, I was very disappointed.with this purchase."

"I assumed a 3-in-1 pencil sharpener would accommodate 3 different sized pencils. Right? Wrong--only 2. And I bought it to sharpen my Avon Big Color Eye Pencil. However, both holes are too small to sharpen this pencil, so I am still looking for a way to sharpen the Big Color Eye Pencil. Until I can find a larger sharpener I cannot use the eye pencil. Very disappointed--waste of money."

"I was disappointed in this sharpner. It does not work on my Big Color eye pencils. This is why I ordered it. How do you sharpen the Big Color pencils that you sell? I have all these eye pencils that I can not use now. Bummer...."

"I have several different size pencils, from the jumbo 3-in 1 pencil to eye liner, and brow, to lip pencils small and large. I've had the same sharpener which sharpened EVERYTHING perfectly, but it was lost. I order this, and it's a sad, disappointing, and vastly irritating sharpener. By the time I finally have a CLEAN point with no wood shards left sticking up the dang pencil is a third gone. And it will NOT accomodate my 3 in 1 pencil AT ALL. This irritating sharpener sharpens other manufacturers products far better than Avon's own. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Susan"

"I had to re-write my review because my 1st one said the largest hole on the sharpener wouldn't fit my big color pencils. Well, after some help from customer service, I learned that there is a safety lid on the larger hole that has to be removed before using and true enough it now works beautifully and I am one happy makeup girl. I feel like a ditz for not figuring it out, but hope my review will help someone who can't figure it out either. Anyway, when I'm wrong, I admit it..."

"I purchased this sharpener based on reviews and I own 6 of the big color eyeshadow pencils which I didn't know I would need a special sharpener for. I rec'd this one a few days ago and was surprised that my pencils WILL NOT fit into the largest hole. They fit the surface, but won't go in deeper to reach the blade for sharpening. Now I have no way to sharpen all of these pencils and I'm hesitant to get a collection for my sister-in-law since she won't be able to sharpen them once they dull. Any recommendations Avon or reviewers? Did I just receive a defective one?? Help! I really love my big color pencils and now I can't use them. I hate wasting money. I will use the smaller hole for my lip pencils as a consolation I suppose."

"Just love this sharpener. I have one for about 7 years and it still sharpens like if it was still new and I´m buying a second for my travel bag. It works great with any pencil being avon or not. I will recomend this to every girl. Great investment!"

"I've always hated using pencils that have to be sharpened, but this sharpener definitely takes the fuss away. Even the soft kohl and gel pencils get a sharp point with this little tool, which is impressive. No mess, no broken pencils, no waste. Great!"

"This works well the avons big pencil as the outer rim pops out of the one end. I have a lot of big and small pencils (mac, sephora, etc) that all go well with this sharpener. Great all in one purchase. Doesn't break pencils either and leaves a nice sharpened end. Highly recommended."
