"I loved the shade I bought and it seemed to last a little longer than other lipsticks but I would never say 8 hours. Also the product is too soft and melts at nearly room temperature. It didn't last long due to the melting and ended up being a waste for the money. Stick with ultra color rich, glazewear, 24k gold, or pro-to-go."

"I have been using the Perfect Wear brand for many years and my color of choice was Best Brown. I see that this color seems to be discontinued. I have tried Rich Brown, but it is much too red/orange and Twig is too light. I have dark hair and medium skin tone and the Best Brown was the best color for me. My sister also wears only Best Brown and I have given a tube to a few friends who also fell in love with that color. It seemed to change to match everyone. I am very upset that this color is no longer available. Is there any way that we can bring it back?"

"I tried this on a whim and glad I did. The lipstick is not really creamy or shiny (I would call it matte) and I like that. It darkens my lips and the color lasts. With most other lipstick it is obvious when it wears off and you look like you need to replace it. This lipstick gradually comes off and doesn't leave you with the "she forgot to put on her lipstick" look.
I bought the Totally Twig shade and like it. It's not the perfect shade for me but definitely wearable. I was expecting the shade to be more brown but it has a lot of pink to it (and least on me).
I have to thank one of the reviewers for going into such great detail with the shades she tried. Just so happens I have the same coloring (dark blond and fair) so based on her feedback I know which shades to try next - Nude Blush and Forever Pink!

"I picked up most of the colors and they were all great! They weren’t dry as you might suspect but I don’t think it is a true 8 hour unless you don’t plan to eat or drink. But over all good staying power. I am fair with dark blonde hair and pinkish undertones so I need to be careful what shades I wear. I found that Sand Gold, Nude Blush and Sun kissed Ginger are the most neutral. Nude Blush is a great take anywhere and keep in your bag, so is Forever Pink, it is a nice natural shade of pink. Totally Twig and Enduring wine are darker but not too dark if you want a serious look or evening color. Personally I prefer a darker lipstick in the fall and winter to go with the darker colors we are all wearing.
Fair girls should stay away from Eternal Flame, Forever Burgundy, Forever Fuchsia and Rich Brown (This is much darker than pictured). Try them if you are a true vamp. Not for me, too dark/bright."

"I've stopped buying every other brand and just get this lasting wear. It works. I only get Totally Twig and really like the color but wish Avon had a color with more brown in it -- a mocha. I bought rich brown but it looked more like fire engine red so I gave it away. Still, I recommend totally twig to everyone and I get lots of compliments on it."

"The color is not represented well on the website but my Avon rep gave me a sample of the Flame Red & assured me that the color was going to be as my sample and if not I could return it . WEELLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! It was just as my sample, the most luscious shade of red, more of a blue red and it does stay on almost ALL day.
Totally in love with this color - purchased one. Placing a second order; backups for me and gifts for my friends who are always looking for the PERFECT shade of RED!!!!!"

"I have this product in Eternal Flame. It's a beautiful blue red and it's a little on the brighter side. I'm very fair skinned so it can be difficult finding a bright red that doesn't make me look like a clown, but Eternal Flame is perfect.
I can wear this product all day, eat 3 meals, sleep in it and wake up with it still nearly perfect."

"I love this lipstick, but I agree with other reviewers about wanting my color back. My favorite color was Perfect Ruby. It was perfect for my skin tones and I received many compliments on the color. I have tried many brands of lipstick trying to duplicate the color. Now I will try the fuschia shade you have to see if it is even close. Hope so, or this will be the last time I buy the avon lipstick."

"I really like this lipstick mainly because it is 8 hour wear and from Avon, the only reasons I gave it a four star rating is because the colors are not what they appear in book or on line and after a few hours your lips get dry. I have very fair Irish skin and I bought Totally Twig and Sand Gold, Totally Twig shows up as a very pretty dark red color (not brown) and Sand Gold is more of a very, very pale gold, almost like a shimmer. As for the drying out part I suggest wearing the lipstick for about two or three hours and then lightly applying some sheer lipgloss."

"I had hoped this lipstick would be as described, but it was not. While it does last longer than a regular lipstick, it does not stay for 8 hours. Maybe 3. It also transfers somewhat as well. The colors were another disapointment. The choice is very limited and the color chart is not true. The Nude Blush is a frosted, yet that was not noted in the description. I wish that I had tried this lipstick before it changed. Everyone seemed to be much happier with the old product."

"I have worn this lipstick for years and as a lot of others have said, I want my old color back it was "crushed plum" this color was perfect for me. I wore magnificant mauve but it was too pink for me, then tried capture and it was a little to orange for me so I am now going to try totally twig and forever burgundy and see if I like those. Kinda expensive to have to buy a whole tube not knowing what the true color will be. It would be nice if Avon would give samples or even a smaller tube for like 2.00 or something. Sure hope they read these reviews and maybe we will get our old colors back."
