"Originally I wanted to wait and see how this ended up working on my nails for a while of use...but I literally applied it and went to check it...and it was dry!! That's unheard of - you always hear about nail polish of any kind claiming to dry in minutes, in 60 seconds...and it never does. Granted, this is a strengthener coat, but with the bit of shimmer it has, it might look good as a top coat to bring out some shine! It dries almost instantly - I'm impressed."

"The gold isn't all that striking, it really only shimmers a bit. Not sure if it's helped with nail strength since I used it with another product. I did however learn not use it under/over color (that'll teach me to skimp on base/top coats). Those gold flakes will quickly turn into uneven lumps. So yea, good product for bare nails."

"I have to wash my hands a LOT at work, which causes my nails to dry out - they are always breaking and peeling. But after using this product, my nails have finally started to grow and look healthy! They no longer break, peel, or chip - my nails feel so much stronger. The polish gives my nails a nice shine with just a few gold sparkles. Love, love, love this product!"

"I think this nail treatment goes on very nicely and wears decently as well. However, to say it has a subtle shimmer and gold glow would be a bit of an understatement. I guess I was looking for a bit more shimmery look. But all that being said, it is nice, and I actually do like the more natural shine that it has as opposed to extremely lacquered clear topcoats."

"I have not worn polish for years. I have naturally hard nails with a nice shape, so didn't really need to. However, after becoming an AVON rep, I thought it would be nice to wear clear (which this basically is; read other reviews). I wore it straight for about 2 mos. - replacing every 5 days or so, and liked the clear, shiny, look. Then my nails started to crack, and over a 2 wk. period, they have essentially deteriorated down to the skin! I am attempting to repair, and will try again w/base coat underneath. Warning - wear with a base coat!"

"I've always had nice nails, but of course they break once a week....but I've been using this for 2 weeks now and my nails not only feel stronger, but they have yet to break. They look healthy and they feel healthy. You can put it on every day for about a week, and then you need to take it off and do it again."

"I like this strengthener a lot. It helps my nails feel strong, except that I wish it had more gold coloring in it. There is a subtle shimmer to it, and it does look nice whenever I'm outside in the sun. I just wish it had more gold shine to it, as it would look nice around the holidays, or anytime you want a metallic finish."

"I actually bought this because of the negative reviews. When I saw this come out, gold nails was not anything I wanted. After reading how it doesn't look like gold nail polish, I decided to try it. It seems to really be helping my nails.
I wear it over my regular polish, & try to use it every few days. It is a great top coat - makes my nails very shiny!"

"I bought this because I have weak, brittle nails that break all the time. This polish actually made them WORSE, especially after I showered, when it made them even more cracked and more dry. Crazy!"

"This product is so-so. I needed something to help strength my nails. They became very thin and soft from having artificial nails on for a couple of months. I was very disappointed like oters say, it does not have a major gold sheen to it. It does make your nails shiny and a tad yellow and sparkley. It did help strengthen a little bit but not much. Hopefully with continued use like the directions said, it will get better."

"It is a very nice strengthener and is a very good product like all Avon products, just does not have a very gold/shimmer espically with the first use. I expected to look glittery I suppose. But overall a very good product and I'd buy it again, but not for the glittery effect."

"I am an Avon rep & I saw this product in the "What's New" flyer for representatives & thought it looked really nice, so I ordered a bottle. I have nails that grow long & then start peeling when they get to a certain length, so I thought this would help. I was disappointed however when I received it & noticed that it goes on your nails clear instead of gold...like in the picture in the book. Yes, there is a little sparkle, but definitely NOT a noticable shimmer...even with many coats. Also I have not seen any improvement in my nail strength at all. Hopefully there will be some improvement with more use."

"Okay so I bought this because i have weak nails. I looked at the picture and the girl wearing it had gold nails...so of course i expected that the polish was going to paint my nails gold and give me stronger nails...and then i get the product and open it and its clear with sparkles. I was dissappointed in the fact that it doesn't come out gold but if you don't mind the fact that it isnt a nail color its a good strengthening polish for the price.
PROS: good price CONS: it doesn't paint your nails gold"
