"I have tried other shine control foundations before and everything else seemed really heavy on my face. I have combination skin and I'm acne prone so I thought I would give Magix a try. When I first tried it I thought I gave my skin an oily feel but I found that it is just the cream turning to powder and that wore off leaving a silky feel. The smell is not that bad and that too goes away. The color for my fair/ light complexion is fine if you don't cake it on. A little does go a long way and it's not supposed to hide embarrassments. I would recommend it to anyone looking for minimum coverage."

"I had the regular Magix and loved how it felt when I put it on. So I bought the tinted version. I love this stuff! Just the right amount of tint to even out your complexion, without looking made up. smoothes on so easily and blends wonderfully. You have to try it!"

Horrible smell, not a foundation

"I couldn't believe the smell of this make-up it was awful. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if it is made this way but it's gross. It does not cover like a foundation at all. I have tried using it 3 times and I end up putting a different makeup on. Now I am only 26 and have great skin but when I put on this it doesnt cover at all. I put it on and then use a creme-to -powder over it."

"If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would. My sister tried it and recommended it to me, I tried it and LOVE it! I am in my 40's and still fight with an oily t-zone. I cook for a daycare center and am in a hot kitchen all day long which doesn't help. Since using this product my t-zone shine has drastically decreased. On the weekends when I don't work, I don't have to retouch my makeup at all. I would recommend this product to anyone."

"I was already thrilled with neutral Magix + mineral foundation, but wanted to try the reviewer suggestion of using the tinted version with translucent mineral powder. Another winner! Since this looks great on its own, I can see me using this more for daily, out-the-door coverage and the neutral Magix with colored mineral makeup when I want more coverage. Perfector is the perfect name for this - a lovely finish with light coverage. You may need concealer as well to cover sunspots, etc. I have light/medium Hispanic skin and use the Medium shade. This is also a great example of Avon's top quality packaging - this is not a brittle compact that will crack or have broken hinges/closure from normal wear in your makeup bag or purse."

"I am always on the lookout for a great primer that helps minimize pore size and keep oil/shine away for at least a reasonable timeframe. This did not keep shine/oil away for 10 hours as stated in the description...I got oily after 5-6 hours and this is in the winter months when humidity is not a huge factor. So absolutely could not wear this in the summer when oil is really bad. It also made me break out after using for 3 days straight so I discontinued."

"I am a medium brown-skinned African American, and normally wear something in honey bronze-like. I ordered Deep, per suggestion from reviews. Excellent coverage. You could do lightly tolook like you have no makeup on/naturally great skin (my preference) or heavier for glamour. I loved the other Perfector, buy love this too."

"I tried this just in time for the Ms Senior California preliminary beauty pageant. It's like a silky primer for your face. My lip liner, eye liner, foundation and blush usually are "bumpy" and often go on streaky or unevenly. Not so with Magix Face Perfector. Everything slides on with velvety smoothness and I must admit: I looked gorgeous and young. I won my preliminary and at the state finals, I got interviewed and on the news. "Love this product! I get very oily throughout the day and this product actually prevents that oiliness. I don't like to wear foundation and this is the perfect compromise. My skin tones are evened out and I don't look like I have a mask on.
My 18 year old daughter uses this too."

"I purchased this and love what it does; however, I ordered the wrong color. I am fair-skinned with freckles and the lLight is way too orange-y for my skin. It was awful. I am going to order it in Fair and hope it is a better match. I have the non-tinted Magix and I LOVE it. I can't wait to get the tinted in the correct color.
