"I love this mineral eyeshadow...but I have one complaint....Please bring back the Sandstone shade!!! It was the most perfect eyeshadow base - neutral and could be combined with any other shade. Plus - it was not a "sparkly" shade but matte. I don't know why they got rid of this shade and had I known it was being discontinued I would have purchased a lot of them! Now I can't find it anywhere."

Needs a heavy hand to show up

"I'm not a makeup newbie, but this is difficult to use if you want to see it show up on your skin. I am a light skinned black woman and almost every color I use is so light that I have to dip repeatedly into the pot to get the color to show up meaningfully on my eyes.
I have four colors and the only one that doesn't take too much work to show up is Midnight Mauve. I don't mind Bronzestone being light as it is a base, but Pink Sapphire (which doesn't resemble one at all) and Cocoa Glow disappoint. I like to have some colors "pop" off my eyes, and these don't, so I have to use them as a base. I can't tell if Russet Rock is any darker than Cocoa Glow, and have no desire to spend the money to find out.
In terms of their actual texture and wear, they are nice. It lasts all day and doesn't crease as oils buildup. But what good is it if it takes so much to show up? I'm deeply disappointed and I vacillated on giving it 2 stars."

"This is the greatest eyeshadow I have ever used. I have seen that some don't like the way the jar's "sifter" is made. I love it in compairison to the other brands I have tried. I simply turn the jar over, bottom side up and firmly tap the top with the palm of my hand a couple of times. I then turn the jar right side up, open the cap and the little "cup" inside the lid is filled with shadow and then I take my shadow brush and gently touch it to the shadow and swirl the brush on the inside of the smooth part of the lid to evenly distribute the shadow on my brush. When I'm through I just put the lid back on the jar and the shadow stays inside the jar and lid like it suppose to and not everywhere else. WOW! No muss...no fuss...no waist! LOVE IT!!!!!!! Give this a try, I think you will find it an easy way to use this new jar design."

"The reason I gave it only 4 stars is that it takes a little practice to use. More so than the foundation because each color is so different in the way it goes on...at least to me. Some are very light (like the pink quartz...lovely color but wish it was darker) and some darker than you expect, like the Mauve. Even so, I love all the eyeshadow colors I have so far and plan to get more. Once you get the feel for how each color goes on and how they look, it is fun to blend them and try different effects. The form it is in makes it easy to do this. It also lasts all day and doesn't crease."

"I love this eye shadow, it goes on super easy. Some ppl don't like the little hole used to dispense the makeup, but I really like it. I think the design makes the product easy to use. I do recommend the eye brush, it may be a little difficult to use with other eye shadow applicators. I bought the rose quartz eye shadow, it is sheer (which is what I wanted), but can be layered to have more effect, but keep in mind it is a light eye shadow. I have also ordered and am expecting to get in the mineral ice and the golden moss, I think these will be beautiful!"

"I bought this in Enchanting Lilac. The case for it may seem very small, but a little goes a long way. I made the mistake of dipping a small brush down the sifter and got an eyeful of purple. Thankfully it's very light, and when I cleaned the excess away, it didn't smudge all over my cheeks, like some eyeshadows do. It simply faded to a sheer blend. It's very light and natural looking, so less is more here."

"The mineral line and the eyeshadows are great. I've only purchased 2 colors and am definetly buying more. The colors may seem a little on the dark side (which I love) but applied light-handedly they can be ultra sheer, and used as highlighters. The shimmers are wonderful, indefinetly not "glittery". I don't own any matte/satin colors yet, but a friend does and they are equally stunning. They are loose of course so I would suggest "patting" with a slight pressing motion to apply loose eyeshadow for a full colored affect.
Thanks Avon I love these eyeshadows, and cant wait for them to expand into more colors that would include some fun bright shades, for that "pop" of color I like."

"Avon's mineral line is high quality for a low price. The make up stays on all day, and just needs a quick touch up into all night. But, it's not like other make up that needs to be scrubbed off. This comes off with a light cleanser and a washcloth, the first time, every time."
