"One review said that this product leaves her skin sticky. I have noticed that happens when I use too much. A little goes a long way (which makes this product an even better value).
Another concern was that it made one customer's skin too orange. I find that I need to take a day off from it once in a while to avoid this. Another trick is to mix a bit of it with another lotion-- my favorite is the SSS Age-Defying body lotion-- to keep it from building up too quickly.
With these tricks in mind, I enjoy this product so much more than other "touch of sun" products I have used."

"I purchased this for the first time to use this Summer. I love that it goes on smoothly and dries fast. I also like the fact it's a gel as opposed to a lotion so it's much easier to apply.
What I DON'T love is the scent. It smells like any other tanning lotion. I try to cover up the scent with a better smelling product, but I still notice the chemical smell! Yuck."

"I bought this because other reviews said it had hardly any fragrance -- this is not true. It does have a chemical smell which I found annoying -- it doesn't last forever, but it's strong at first. And the consistency is rather sticky --after showering and applying, I felt like I needed another shower! And the point of application is of course the "tan" -- well I didn't notice any change in the color of my skin at all."

"I am really pale with red hair and freckles. I never tan or have luck with sunless tanners, but this is just right. After using it a few times I look for healthy instead of pasty white. The gel goes on very smooth and even. The only thing I don't like is that self tanner smell. It lingers long after the SSS fragance wear away."

"I was excited to try this and since they had a sale I purchased the scrub, gel and spray. Not too inthused with the gel. The smell is usual for a self tanner. I gave it three stars cause if the smell. If there was no odor I would rate 5 stars. I will not buy again."

"Absolutely love this product, it's a gel, so it comes out like an oil but isn't oily at all, goes on like a lotion but feels lighter while leaving my skin soft. Does a great job of adding subtle color, enough that I don't feel pale and not so much that I have streaks like with tanning bronzers. Love to mix with a bronzer so I can spend less time worrying about my tan and more time living life with my little guys! Would highly recommend this product, I buy 4 at a time, they make great gifts too!"

"I returned this after one use. Yes, it can make your skin feel less dry but its sticky. Sticky to the touch, sticky in bend of your arm and behind the knee even after its dry and slightly sticky just to the touch. I had to return it."

"I generally don't leave reviews; however, I felt compelled to share my thoughts about this particular product. I've used quite a few self-tanners and gradual tanners, and this is by far my least favorite. The gel formula doesn't absorb well and leaves your skin feeling sticky.. not moisturized. Now, I know that all self tanners have an odd smell, but this one is almost unbearable once it has been on your skin for a bit. I put on my self tanners before bed to let them work overnight... and the smell from this one literally woke me up. I'll probably use the rest of the tube so I don't feel wasteful, but I definitely won't be buying it again."

"While this product does not moisturize, it does make your skin really, really soft. I haven't noticed a color change, but I haven't been slathering it on every day either, so I cannot speak to its tanning proclimations. It does appear to be slowing hair growth though. Overall worth the purchase, I will be buying it again."

"This is the best self tanning product I have ever tried. I have been using a store brand for a few years that worked, but left my elbows and knees darker than the rest of my skin. My skin is so soft with a natural tanned glow after one application. My husband even commented how nice and glowing my skin looks. I like the smell of this too! Its not greasy or sticky and its a gel. I cant wait to see the firming results and hair minimizing over time. Avon, please keep this in stock so that I can too. "I love this stuff, had to buy 2 of them. Helps keep my legs smooth & soft & with a light tan. Does not turn orange & best of all, doesn't color ankles darker like the other self-tanners. LIght gel that dries quickly, no tanning odor."
