Great Shave but Didn't Stay On My Legs

"I like the scent and the gel does give you a great shave but for me, using it in the shower, doesn't stay on as well as I had hoped. Used a little, used a lot, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Although it really did stay put on the tub, it didn't stay so well on my legs, even when I made sure to stay out of the shower spray.. I use a Venus Breeze razor and "Smooth & Soft Stay" did make this razor give a smoother shave, so I really liked it better than any other gel shave product. But the "Staying Power" just didn't work for me. Not sure if I will buy it again."

My wife and I have been using this product for years. With my current order I quickly discovered that the contents of the product have changed. There is some type of perfume smell to it that is just awful. After I shaved I couldn’t even wash the scent off using Ivory soap. My wife will not use it at all. I called you customer service and they advised me that they did not see a change in the product ingredients. There are sending me a return label, because there is no way we can use this product.
I think if you’re going to drastically change a product there should be something on the label announcing that it is a new or changed product. The only thing I could tell that was different was the packaging. I kind of looks like the original packaging. Also, this changed product is not as ‘silky and smooth’ as the old product.
I forgot to ask your customer service if they have a case of the original shave get around in the warehouse. I really like the original and would purchase a whole case if you have it.
Furthermore, I would introduce a new product separately or include a small sample with the original and request some type of input.
And Again! – I must say that your customer service center does an excellent job in responding to the public. I hope someone does get back to me on this issue!

"I was very excited to find a product that would help with razor burn. This product did not. I would say it is the same as what you would buy at any store only slightly more water resistant. It costs slightly more so I guess it evens out."

"This is my favorite shave gel product. A little goes a long way. At first I tried to get it to lather, but then remembered it is a gel and isn't meant to do that. I always try to stock up when on sale and have also noticed my hair isn't growing back as quickly as it used to. Give it a try!"

"Let me start by saying I use a shower stall so there is no escaping the water. When I first moved here I had the hardest time dealing with this. How do I shave when the water keeps washing all the lotion away? Then I remembered Avon sells this stuff and I ordered two bottles of it. I read some reviews where people mentioned the 'blue' doesnt look 'blue' and you need a lot to see it and blah blah blah. Let me tell you, I shave everyday this bottle lasts me a little over a month. I use enough that I can feel it not see it. You don't need to see the blue of it to know it is there and it will work amazing!! So yes this product works GREAT and is usually on sale too which is always awesome. It leaves me legs extremely smooth and soft. I love SSS and use a SSS body wash as well and the combination is amazing!! I love it and would Never use anything else."

"This stuff smelled like liquid plastic. Not anywhere near the cherry blossom scent it promised. As far as working, it was no better than hair conditioner I got from the dollar store, which was actually better because it smelled better!"

"I started using this around 3 or so years ago and since that first tube I haven't gone back to the other brands on the store shelves. With the Silky Stay, I have never gotten cuts, nicks or razor burn. It leaves my skin soft and smooth, which you expect from shaving anyway, but this doesn't dry out my skin like the others did. A little goes a very long way, so if it drips off of you, or clogs your razor, you can use much less.
Every time the price drops I stock up on a few because Avon has a tendency to discontinue things, but fortunately in this case they just keep redesigning the tube (though I'll keep playing it safe, just in case).
Avon, would you consider making a travel size?"

"I have very sensitive skin and alot of products used for shaving tend to make my skin itchy especially after putting lotion on. I bought this a few month back and its the greatest product i've ever tried for shaving. It stays on during showing and it gets the closest shave very smooth; now I can put lotion on right after shaving and it does not iratate my skin."

"I'm not crazy about this product. It really does stay on in the shower but that also means it sticks to the sink and tub surface and does not easily rinse away. I have trouble with it clogging my razor also. The blue is fairly light and doesn't help me see where I have already shaved any better than other products. I won't buy it again."

"This product is pretty good; it stays on in the shower better than foaming shave creams and it is much easier to rinse the razor off and get rid of all the cut hairs. It does offer good protection against nicks and cuts but you have to apply liberally, and the blue color does not show up as clearly on darker skin, but that's not it's fault :) Overall, this is a better alternative to expensive shaving creams."

"I am part Italian, so the hair on my legs are dark & very course & I have never found a shaving gel that keeps me from getting razor burn & that gives me a very close shave...until the Stay Shave Gel! I love this. It stays on my legs until I shave it off & even if my razor is a little dull, I still do NOT get razor burn & it gives me a really close shave. I've also noticed that I don't have to shave as often, since I am getting a close shave. I always buy this product in 2's so if I forget to reorder I always have a spare!"

"This product is, by far, THE BEST shave gel I have ever used. I am, in a word, amazed. I couldn't believe my sister (who is also my AVON rep :-) ), as she uses this and recommended it as well. Until I tried it...and I was hooked from the first use. I have literally thrown away all of my other shave gels and immediately replaced them with this one, without giving it a second thought.
