"Was not happy with the waterproof label. It wore off after a couple of hours. Did not smudge but had to reapply halfway through he night. Was also very clumpy."

"I thought this was waterproof, but it wasn't. i guess i needed to read the label. But i love what it did to my lashes i just wish it was waterproof. This is great stuff makes lashes thick and beautiful"

"I have always been a fan of Avon's waterproof mascara so I thought the Super Shock Max waterproof mascara would be just as good. It is not! Very clumpy and difficult to apply. It does seem to lenghen the lashes but then you just have longer, clumped together lashes. Terrible looking result. This product went into the trash. I am back using the regular waterproof mascara, which I love."

"My friend showed this too me when I asked what kind of mascara she used, and it got me hooked on all AVON makeup. I love to use this mascara because it really works, commercials show how their mascara wont clump but it does, this mascara doesn't clump! I love and recommend it to anyone!"

"Both my daughter and I have used the Super Shock mascara for a long time and love it so we thought the waterproof one would be just as fab. Wrong! We both had such problems with clumping we decided to go without mascara until we could order more regular Super Shock. Wish this one wasn't clumpy but it really is."

"Did not like this at all. The brush does not look like the picture. the center is very large and the brush part is very short so you have to be very careful to put it on, especially if you have short lashes or it will clump on. the mascara was not very waterproof. I had the hardest time putting it on my lower lashes as the wand does not taper to a point, but has a blunt end. i was tired and my water eyes removed the mascara. i was going to give this a week, but threw it away after just 3 days."

"I use waterproof mascara everyday. It generally holds my curl better than regular mascara. That wasn't the case with the Supershock. It is pretty wet and heavy. The curl drooped immediately."

"I purchased this because my favorite Avon Mascara, Wash-off waterproof, was unavailable at the time of order. This is a BIG disappointment...it is clumpy and the brush is aweful! I gave it a good chance, but after a few weeks of attempts, I'm throwing it away and ordering the Wash-off Waterproof!"

"I have been using this mascara exclusively for over two years and it is the first that has satisfied all my needs: (1) waterproof, but can be removed with soap and water (I remove mine in the shower), (2) does not clump (3) does not flake, (4) does not irritate my eyes or cause problems with my contact lenses, (5) lasts all day, (6) does not dry out my eyelashes or cause them to break, the way many mascaras do, (7) contains no ingredients to which I am allergic, (8) leaves my lashes soft and pliable when applied, although visibly thicker with one coat. For me, it is the perfect mascara, which is why it is the only one I use."

"I've used another brand of mascara since I was a teenager (1960s) and thought I would try Avon's Supershock. It took a week to get used to the large brush, but now if I use my old mascara, the small brush seems much too small. I was amazed at how full and long my lashes looked with Supershock. They almost look like false eyelashes, and I'm very pleased with the new, dramatic look my eyes have. The waterproof Supershock will stay on even through tears, but will wash off somewhat when I take a shower. I love this product!"

"Worst mascara I've ever used. Went under water once in the pool and it flaked all over my face. My regular waterproof mascara stays on all day no matter how many times I go swimming and the only way to get it off is with makeup remover. Threw this away after one use. None of the other girls in the pool could believe how this just came right off after getting wet This definitely is NOT waterproof!!"

"I really wanted to love this mascara, but it did not perform like it should. First of all is the smell, it was strong like bleach almost. Second it was clumpy right off the bat. Before the even put it on my eyes, there was so much product on the brush and it was dry and clumpy. Bad batch maybe? No volume just clumps. Still have not found an Avon mascara I like."
