"I hoped this would be similar to the navy blue polishes I've seen recently in stores, but in the bottle and on application it is basically a dusty black color. I'm disappointed it is not at all blue. My daughter is going to wear it with her witch costume at Halloween, but after that I suppose it will head to the bin."

"Decadence" color does not match online picture

"I ordered color "Decadence" 434-269, and it does not match the picture online. The picture online is a shimmery berry color but in reality the color is a deep, dark shimmery purple. It is an okay color, but is not what I expected or wanted. It is not a mistake as the bottle says "Decadence" and the color I received is not on the website at all. I cannot comment how long the color lasts as I have not used it since it is not a color I like or want. Buyer beware!"

"This was a great purchase as the end of the summer put these colors on special. I like the color so much I will wear it all year long. It dries to a nice finish and I top it off with a clear top coat so it last an entire week."

"Looks good in the bottle and on the pages of the Avon catalog with lights, but once on did no go well with my skin color. Not a great match for women of color. Could possibly look better on lighter skined women or in the winter when feet are not as tanned by the sun. I am going to try it again in winter before I completely write it off and give it away."

"This polish really lasts. I have tried many other brands that promise not to chip,etc. But Avon's lives up to their promise of no chipping and staying on. Mine usually lasts at least a week or more without any touch ups and looks good. I use the Smooth Beginnings Base coat then 2 coats of color and top it with the UV top coat. I will be purchasing more colors."

"I thought this nail enamel highly disappointing. It took three coats to cover my nails and even with a base coat and top coat it still chipped the next day. I read all the reviews claiming two to three weeks wear and i have to assume it is on artificial nails. I have an office job - not digging dirt or anything and they chipped in one day.
Hold out for a different brand for long lasting polish."

"This is a great, long wearing polish, and the color swatches shown online are accurate. I did a pedi in luxe lavender that lasted 3 weeks without a chip, and just now gave myself both a mani and pedi in sheer lilac. This color is amazing! I got full coverage in 2 coats and it has a soft luminescence to it. I have tried many sheer polishes (including salon brands) and have never had such beautiful results! I also have romance, but don't care for it as much because it goes way beyond shimmer and is quite metallic."

"I can't say enough about this wonderful nail polish. I'll start with I've got many shades. This morning, I applied base coat, then two coats of "berry smooth". It looked terrific. Applied smoothly and I expect it will last for quite awhile. I wore white sandals and my neighbor complimented the nail color. Oh, and don't forget the top coat. The color will last longer. Another thing I love is the reasonable price."
