"i was totally disappointed. this is just another eyeliner. i bought it in ultra violet, and although it's a decent shade of what i'd call "grape jelly purple," i don't see any metallic "glimmer" to it. it's definitely NOT waterproof or smudgeproof - by lunch, i could hardly tell i'd put it on!"

"So, I loved the depiction of use in the illustration of the brochure. But when I got this, it totally didn't look like that. Also, when I put it on my eyelids, it is a little clumpy and you can't see the shimmer. I attempted my bottom lid with it and it was a disaster. But I am just using it up because it is in my makeup bag. I put it on and then put my shadow on. It seems to help my eye shadow someway. I had a coworker also try this and she said the exact same thing. Just thought this review might help some people make up their minds."

"I bought the Veluxe Blue and the Vivid Grey. The blue went on very smoothly with one stroke (nice).
The grey was another story. You had to keep going over the same area and it would smear and small pieces kept breaking off. Not sure if it was just old and dried out or what the problems was."

Inaccurate color depictions

"I bought Flashy Steel and it doesn't have the slightest hint of blue or teal like the picture in the book or online. It's gray, and I didn't want gray. Plus, it was hard to put on. I had to press it on my lid really hard to get color. Then it withered down to a nub right away and I had to twist for more product -all this for just one application around both eyes. I haven't had this problem with other Avon eyeliners before, so I won't buy this product again."

"So this product is not electric pink it is more of a baby pink meets purple. The first time I used the stick it crumbled as I was trying to put it on. Other than the color being wrong and crumbling it was a decent product"

"The colors don't seem to match the advertisement well. They seem to be more muted than what's on the advertisement. They are harder to blend than other ones I've tried. They tend to smear and smudge like other brands."

"ELECTRIC PINK Glimmerstick Chrome is sort of like wearing colored Sun-Screen. It only shows on us if we really cake it on, and then it looks chalky.
I'm sure for dark-medium to deep skin tones, this Electric Pink should work for a Summer tone.
Just wished to warn others whom may be fair to fair-neutral skin tones that this shade may not work. Only offers a little gleam and then, possibly only for Eye-lid corners."

"Just got these this week, and I love them! Well pigmented, and great shimmer effect usually had only with powdered shadow. The cons are that they break easily since they are thin pencils.There will be wasted pencil. They fade after several hours and need to be reapplied if you have oily lids like I do. Other than that, they are totally worth the sale price! I bought 5!"

"I purchased the purple and the orchard pink, I put the pink over my whole lid and then line the lashes with the purple, I have dark brown eyes and I get nothing but compliments on how it looks. I love them so I am going to purchase a bucket load more. :)"

"I really like the intensity and metallic quality of this liner. I'm a big fan of glimmersticks liner anyway. It goes on and stays on all day. It doesn't ever transfer to my upper lids. I bought the pink and the ultra violet at the same time and I like the violet color the best. The pink is too light on my fair skin. It would look great on someone with more color."

"The catalog showed these to be bright bold colors. They are okay if you are looking for something subtle but they are no where near the same shade as the picture. Flashy Steel looks like a baby blue instead of turquoise and vividly grey looks purple. I couldn't even see electric pink. No glittery or shiney look like it shows in picture"

"In the catalog, these colors looked AMAZING, so I was very excited to receive them. I ordered the Burgundy Shock and Electric Pink. The Pink is so light that it barely shows up on my skin, but it does give a nice shimmer so I can use it as a highlight color. The Burgundy has NO shine to it at all, but it is still a color I can use in the fall/winter. A woman at work purchased the Steel color and it had very little shine either. They definitely are not what I was expecting and I will not order the other colors."
